Genesis10 is currently seeking an IT Business Analyst - Hybrid for a 6 month contract position with a Major Financial Institution located in Jersey City, NJ. This role serves as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, acting as the bridge between Compliance, Surveillance, and Technology. The position owns end-to-end requirements, data mapping, and data quality definition for a Metrics Repository platform, including the onboarding of new datasets such as employee trade data, communications, and alert data.
Responsibilities: - Gather and document business requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and analysis
- Analyze current business processes and identify areas for improvement or automation
- Translate business needs into functional specifications for development teams
- Support testing, training, and deployment of new systems or enhancements
- Facilitate communication between business users and IT teams throughout the project lifecycle
- Prepare reports, dashboards, and documentation to support decision-making
Requirements: - 5-7 years of experience in business analysis, requirements gathering, and process mapping
- Strong knowledge of software development life cycle and Agile methodologies
- Proficiency in tools such as Excel, Visio, and JIRA or Tableau
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
Desired skills: - Business Analyst certification (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA) is a plus
