Job Details
Job Details / Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed labor and material takeoffs for HVAC and sheet metal systems
Develop accurate cost estimates including equipment, materials, labor, and subcontractor scope
Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations
Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits as required
Collaborate with internal teams to support bid strategy and project turnover
Maintain knowledge of applicable mechanical codes, materials, and industry standards
Review project plans, blueprints, and specifications to understand scope and requirements
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience estimating mechanical construction projects with a strong focus on HVAC and sheet metal systems
Experience supporting commercial and/or industrial construction projects
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents
Experience performing detailed labor and material takeoffs
Proficiency with estimating/takeoff software (such as Trimble AutoBid or similar)
Proficiency with Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and Adobe
Experience working with vendors and subcontractors to develop pricing
Strong math and analytical skills
