Swiss Screw Machine Operator in La Verne, CA.
As a
Swiss Screw Machine Operator you will:
Job Description Day to Day Responsibilities - Set up and operate screw machines (manual or CNC) to produce precision components.
- Adjust machine settings such as speed, feed rate, and tooling to meet specifications.
- Load raw materials and monitor machine performance during production.
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
- Ensure parts meet dimensional and quality standards.
- Document inspection results and report any deviations.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and make necessary adjustments.
- Replace worn or damaged tools and components.
- Track production output and machine performance.
- Maintain accurate records of production data and machine maintenance.
- Collaborate with supervisors and engineers to improve efficiency.
This is a full-time opportunity. Monday
- Friday 2pm to 10pm (paid lunch)
The ideal candidate will have: Required Skills & Qualifications - Experience working in a Manufacturing environment
- Proven programing experience
- Must know how to read and understand blueprints
- Excellent reading and comprehension skills
- Good mathematical skills (basic, algebra etc.)
- Problem solving
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications High School Diploma or GED.
Manual CNC
knowledge of power and manual tools & measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
Understanding of maintenance
Prior screw machine operator experience preferred
Schedule: 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM
Days: Monday through Friday and occasionally overtime on Saturday
Pay Rate: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
