Location: Lexington, Oregon (Onsite)
Role Overview
This position is responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, and operation of renewable energy systems, primarily wind turbines. The role involves conducting preventative maintenance, repairs, and system monitoring to ensure operational efficiency and reliability. This position requires working a 12-hour rotating shift, which includes nights, weekends, and some holidays.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform entry-level preventive maintenance on wind turbine and solar energy systems.
- Assist in troubleshooting electrical, electronic, and mechanical issues.
- Utilize SCADA systems for remote diagnostics, performance monitoring, and to manage turbines for specific tasks such as bird mortality monitoring.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and environmental regulations.
- Work in various weather conditions and climb turbine towers as required.
Required Qualifications
Education: A High School Diploma or GED is required.
Experience: This is an entry-level associate position for candidates with 0 to 5 years of experience.
Technical Skills: The ability to use SCADA systems to pause, unlock, and place turbines in service mode is necessary.
Additional Requirements: A valid, non-restricted driver's license is required. The driving record must not have any alcohol or drug-related offenses within the previous five years, and the license must not be suspended or restricted.
Preferred Qualifications
- An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Power Generation or Renewables is preferred.
Work Environment
This role requires adherence to NERC CIP standards for both physical and cyber access. The selected individual will need unescorted badge access into Nuclear protected areas and will follow all onsite in-processing procedures.
