Java Software Engineer

Summary

Knowledge around API development, microservices, architecting, developing multi-tier internet facing web and mobile applications.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Science (or equivalent)

Understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms and software engineering standards across object-oriented and functional programming.

Experience in API Design and Development and Microservices Architecture

HTTP based APIs, GraphQL, Networking and how the internet works.

DevOps Toolkit (Kubernetes, Rushhour, DataDog, Jenkins, Splunk)

AWS ecosystem (EC2, Lambda, Serverless computing)

Hands-on software development experience in Java Web services and API solutions.

Hands-on experience with RESTful services, XML/JSON, and modern Application Servers.

Proficient in Java, J2EE, Spring MVC, Spring Core and JavaScript.

Experience in documenting APIs leveraging an API documentation framework (Swagger)

Experience with DevOps, Continuous Integration and Delivery tools like Jenkins, Maven, uDeploy, Stash and Docker.

Working knowledge of testing frameworks like Junit, Mockito, Spring Test.

Experience in Agile delivery and methodologies

Strong team player and communicator.
