Overview
Our client, a leading consulting firm, is seeking a Managing Consultant to lead engagement delivery within its Life Sciences Data and Analytics practice. This is a leadership role for someone who can step in and immediately function as an engagement leader, managing client relationships, delivery teams, and complex pharma commercial analytics workstreams with minimal ramp up time.
What You'll Do
Client Leadership
Own executive level client communications
Lead steering committee meetings, workshops, and requirements sessions
Manage client relationships independently
Delivery Leadership
Manage multiple project teams and workplans
Own project budgets and manage scope changes
Lead quality reviews and ensure delivery excellence across engagements
Analytics Leadership
Bring deep expertise across forecasting, commercial analytics, market access analytics, patient services analytics, launch readiness, and commercial data ecosystems
Guide analytical approach and methodology across engagement teams
Team Leadership
Directly manage Senior Consultants and Consultants
Review analytical outputs for quality and rigor
Coach and develop team members
Sales and Growth
Contribute to proposal writing and RFP responses
Help scope new analytics engagements
Identify and help sell follow on work with existing clients
What You Bring
8 to 12+ years of pharma consulting experience, including experience managing multiple concurrent client engagements
A background as a client facing analytics leader, for example a Manager at ZS Associates, Engagement Manager at Axtria, Consulting Manager at IQVIA, Manager at Trinity Life Sciences, Engagement Manager at Dedham Group, Associate Director at ProcDNA, or Delivery Manager at MathCo
Deep, hands on knowledge of the pharma commercial data ecosystem, including datasets such as IQVIA, Symphony Health, Komodo, Merative (Truven MarketScan), Optum, Clarivate, Veradigm, or HealthVerity
Strong technical foundation, including advanced SQL and working knowledge of Python; familiarity with Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, or Azure, and visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau
A track record of managing pharma clients directly and presenting to director or VP level stakeholders
Experience writing proposals, participating in RFP responses, or selling follow on work
Preferred therapeutic area experience in oncology, rare disease, immunology, neuroscience, cell and gene therapy, or specialty pharma
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation: $70-80 per hour
