Job Description

Seeking a Python Developer to support an enterprise financial forecasting platform within Freddie Mac's Investments & Capital Markets organization.

The developer will enhance forecasting engines, modernize existing financial accounting applications, improve performance and scalability, and support critical quarterly/yearly production runs used for financial reporting.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain Python-based financial applications.
Modernize existing components and reduce technical debt.
Enhance forecasting engine functionality and performance.
Support production runs and troubleshoot application issues.
Develop automated unit and integration tests.
Collaborate across data, API, services, and infrastructure teams.
Support infrastructure upgrades and platform migrations.
Work with FP&A and stakeholders on forecasting and scenario analysis.
Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and documentation.

Preferred

Financial forecasting/accounting experience
GAAP knowledge
Fixed income concepts
CFA / FRM / CPA
JIRA
Quantitative graduate degree
Financial services experience
