Field Services Engineer – Data Center

Introduction

We are seeking a Field Services Engineer – Data Center to provide onsite data center operations, server hardware support, and customer-facing technical assistance. This role is ideal for candidates with hands-on server hardware experience, Linux administration skills, and basic networking knowledge who thrive in fast-paced enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day data center operational support
Diagnose, repair, and replace server hardware components
Perform OS installations, firmware upgrades, and GPU configuration
Monitor systems, collect logs, and support break/fix activities
Coordinate with field engineers, vendors, and data center teams
Manage tickets, inventory, shipping/receiving, and technical documentation
Support hardware deployments, system testing, and operational validation
Act as the onsite technical point of contact for operational issues and escalations

Requirements

Required Skills

Hands-on experience with server hardware troubleshooting, repair, and parts replacement
Basic networking knowledge
Linux CLI experience and ability to read Linux logs
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Excellent verbal and written communication
Customer-focused with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
Ability to lift up to 65 lbs and work on ladders when required
Willingness to work flexible schedules, including after-hours and weekends

Preferred Skills

Prior Dell Field Service Engineer (FSE) experience
RoCE networking experience
NVIDIA GPU/NIC experience
