Location: Merrifield, Virginia (Hybrid)
Role Overview
We are seeking a mid to senior-level Front-end Engineer with extensive experience in Angular version 19 and up. The successful candidate will join a Digital Delivery team responsible for the client side of our service, supporting innovative experiences that leverage modern open source and cloud technologies. This role involves serving as a front-end web resource for an Agile team, participating in team meetings, writing and unit-testing Angular code, and coordinating deployments with other engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new client-facing features for interactive web applications that rely on REST APIs.
- Work closely with Product Owners, UX designers, and fellow engineers to build Angular-based web features.
- Implement UI component design focused on reusability, scalability, and supportability.
- Utilize existing UI components where possible when creating and updating web features.
- Ensure responsive implementation of all web pages.
- Help maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
- Collaborate with engineers, designers, and analysts to define, design, and ship new features.
- Develop high-quality, shippable code in short increments.
- Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience developing dynamic, highly interactive user interfaces for the web.
- Intermediate to Advanced experience creating web solutions in Angular 19+.
- Intermediate to Advanced experience styling web pages with CSS/SCSS & Bootstrap or another frontend styling framework.
- Proficient in TypeScript development.
- Experience creating accessible solutions for web experiences that satisfy WCAG 2.0 standards, including semantic HTML and ARIA.
- Experience with unit testing frameworks such as Karma or Jest.
- Experience with version control tools like Git, GitHub, or Azure DevOps Repos.
- Experience working in an Agile framework and on cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage and interface with APIs and RESTful web services.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with Nx workspace monorepos.
- Experience with Storybook or other design systems/component libraries.
- Experience working on customer-facing projects.
- Experience with ng-Bootstrap.
- Experience with Azure DevOps.
