The Broadband Plasma Division (BBP) provides market-leading patterned wafer optical inspection systems for leading-edge IC manufacturing. Logic, foundry, and memory customers depend on BBP products to detect yield-critical defects for process debug and excursion monitoring at advanced process nodes. Job Description/Preferred QualificationsWe are looking for an Electrical Design Engineer (FPGA Firmware) to join our BBP team in Milpitas!
Responsibilities for this exciting role will include:- Collaborate with the hardware and embedded software engineer to design FPGA Firmware for high-performance mixed-signal systems.
- Define FPGA Firmware requirement specifications and develop design projects from concept design to production release.
- Responsible for designing the test benches for simulation, timing analysis/closure, FPGA functionality verification and test scripts for validation.
- Debug the whole system with hardware and software engineer together.
- Write technical documentation that meets the defined quality standards for manufacturing / service team as required.
Qualifications:- Minimum 2 years hands-on experience with complex FPGA firmware designs
- Proficiency with FPGA design tools such as Synplify, ISE, Vivado, Quartus.
- Familiar with FPGA simulation tools like VCS, Modelsim or equivalent.
- Proficiency with Hardware description language such as VHDL, Verilog or System Verilog.
- Understand FPGA timing analysis and be enable to solve timing related issues.
- Hands on experience with lab equipment like logic analyzer, oscilloscope etc.
- Teammate with excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Minimum QualificationsDoctorate (Academic) or work experience of 0 years , Master's Level Degree or work experience of 2 years , Bachelor's Level Degree or work experience of 4 years
Base Pay Range: $117,800.00 - $200,300.00 Annually
