The AWS Cloud Implementation SME is the bridge between high-level architecture and hands-on execution. You aren't just a "big picture" thinker; you are the technical authority who ensures complex AWS migrations and deployments actually work in the real world. You will lead the technical delivery of AWS solutions, troubleshooting deep-tier integration issues and mentoring engineering teams on best practices across AWS enterprise environments.

responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Technical Implementation: Direct the end-to-end deployment of AWS cloud infrastructure, ensuring it aligns with architectural blueprints, the AWS Well-Architected Framework, and security compliance.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop and maintain high-quality, reusable IaC templates using tools like Terraform, Pulumi, or AWS CloudFormation / CDK.
- Migration Execution: Lead complex "lift-and-shift," "re-platforming," or "refactoring" projects from on-premises or legacy cloud environments into AWS utilizing services like AWS Application Migration Service (MGN) and AWS Database Migration Service (DMS).
- Troubleshooting & Performance: Act as the Tier 3/4 escalation point for implementation-related roadblocks, performance bottlenecks, and hybrid connectivity issues.
- CI/CD Optimization: Design and implement robust automated deployment pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI to ensure rapid, reliable releases.
- Stakeholder Consultation: Advise leadership and clients on the technical feasibility of requested features and provide cost-optimization strategies utilizing AWS Cost Explorer and AWS Organizations.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Cloud Platforms
Expert-level proficiency in Amazon Web Services (AWS) services (EC2, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, Lambda, ECS/EKS).
Automation
Deep experience with Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Ansible, or Systems Manager (SSM). Containerization
Hands-on mastery of Amazon EKS (Kubernetes), Amazon ECS, Docker, and service meshes (Istio/AWS App Mesh).
Networking
Advanced understanding of Amazon VPCs, AWS Transit Gateway, AWS Direct Connect, Route 53, and ELB/ALB.
Security
Implementation of AWS IAM policies/SCPs, AWS KMS (encryption at rest/transit), AWS Secrets Manager, and Zero Trust models.
Soft Skills
Ability to translate "technical speak" into business value for non-technical stakeholders.
Experience Requirements
- 7+ years in IT infrastructure or software engineering.
- 4+ years of dedicated experience in AWS cloud-native implementation and migration. - Proven Track Record: Experience leading at least two large-scale enterprise AWS migrations from inception to "Day 2" operations.
