Summary

Position: Contract & Vendor Advisory Specialist
Location: Montpelier, Vermont
Contract Term: Up to one year; anticipated start November 1, 2026

Role Summary:
The Contract & Vendor Advisory Specialist will support Program with contract development, negotiations, vendor management, performance monitoring, and risk management. The Specialist will collaborate with State program, procurement, project, and legal teams to support successful contract execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with drafting, reviewing, and finalizing contracts and SLAs.
Support contract negotiations with selected vendors.
Develop and monitor SLAs, KPIs, and vendor performance measures.
Identify contract risks and recommend mitigation actions.
Support vendor performance monitoring and reporting.
Assist with Corrective and Preventive Action Plans (CAPAP).
Coordinate with program, procurement, project, and legal stakeholders.
Prepare contract plans, schedules, recommendations, and monthly status reports.

Required Skills/Experience:

Experience in contract development and vendor management.
Experience with contract negotiations, SLAs, KPIs, performance monitoring, and risk management.
Strong stakeholder coordination and communication skills.
Experience with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, Azure DevOps, and Docusign.
Experience supporting government/public-sector technology programs is preferred.
