Electronic CAD (ECAD) Designer is a professional who creates and maintains electronic and electrical designs using specialized Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software.
Responsibilities- Develop PCB (Printed Circuit Board) layouts.
- Generate manufacturing and assembly documentation.
- Maintain component libraries and design databases.
- Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and manufacturing engineers.
- Perform design rule checks (DRC) and ensure compliance with standards.
- Support prototype builds and production releases.
Software- Altium Designer (Preferred)
- Cadence OrCAD / Allegro
- Autodesk Eagle
- KiCad
- Mentor Graphics PADS / Xpedition
Key Skills- 5+ years' experience developing PCB layout and routing
- Electrical and electronic fundamentals (Desired)
- GD&T and manufacturing documentation
- BOM (Bill of Materials) management
- IPC standards (IPC-2221, IPC-7351, etc.) (Desired)
- DFM (Design for Manufacturability) (Desired)
- Attention to detail and problem-solving
Physical/Work Environments- Employee will primarily be working in an office environmentwith occasional travel to production floor for observation/research
- Sitting for an extended period of time
- Some walking between facilities
- Employee will frequently lift up to 10 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
Salary range of $75K-90K, based on experience.
