VISTA Data Systems Analyst Specialist
The African Immigrant Family Services (AIFS), is a nonprofit founded to empower African immigrants and refugee families in the Omaha Metro region through culturally and linguistically responsive education, public health, family support, and community engagement programs. AIFS currently serves 22 different low-income families from African nations. The AIFS programs assist with food access, public health, youth mentoring, language translation and housing issues which are at the core of poverty related struggles. AIFS is located at 3706 S. 132nd Street, Omaha, NE 68144, serving families across Douglas, Sarpy Counties and the Metro region, including embedded programming in 63 partner schools. VISTA member will build AIFS's organization-wide data base with templates and replicable programs that assist with monitoring, evaluation, and learning (MEL) systems: including standardized performance indicators and logic models, data collection protocols, organizational dashboards and reporting systems, a survey and outcome measurement toolkit, incorporated into staff training materials - strengthening AIFS's ability to measure impact and compete for funding. Member will utilize specific skills such as: data analysis, program evaluation through surveys, organizational growth and funding research, nonprofit management, writing/editing, of funding proposals for staff and board review, staff and volunteer training manual development. AIFS is a small, close-knit team doing outsized good for a community that mainstream providers often can't reach due to language barriers. Serving with AIFS, means shaping how a growing nonprofit measures and proves its impact, alongside a culturally rich, multilingual team and community.
Member Duties : VISTA Member will develop an organization-wide monitoring, evaluation & learning (MEL) system framework including logic models and replicable templates to capture data to increase community awareness and funding support. Member will establish standardized performance indicators and data collection protocols for the AIFS to incorporate into yearly evaluations and grant applications. Member will build out organizational dashboards and reporting systems for programs and grant tracking reducing duplication Member will also develop a survey and outcome measurement toolkit for AIFS programs to assist with grant applications, community outreach and general promotional efforts Member will develop staff and volunteer training materials with reproducible templates that include systems longevity which will also include a data governance guidance to sustain the system
