The rate offered within this range will be based upon the geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level. Hourly Rate:
$22 - $26/hr.
OVERVIEWDesign, develop, test and evaluate integrated systems for managing industrial production processes including human work factors, quality control, inventory control, logistics and material flow, cost analysis and production coordination.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Provide lean manufacturing solutions for customer or process specific production such as lead time reduction, single piece flow & pull systems.
- Support Short & Long range capacity Planning such as Kinaxis Rapid Response Capacity Software
- Draft and design layout of equipment, materials, and workspace to illustrate maximum efficiency, using drafting tools and computer.
- Study operations sequence, material flow, and project information to optimize manufacturing operations.
- Analyze production data (cycle times, flow) to identify inefficiencies.
- Generate performance reports and visualizations.
- Execute your ideas and solutions with engineers and production staff through influential leadership
- Modify & improve workstations & Material Deployment solutions to optimize production work cells.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - Student working towards a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering for the entire duration of internship.
- Experience in AutoCAD or Draftsite
- Experience in Google Applications
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Sophomore or Junior level status
- GPA: 3.0 or higher is preferred
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills
