$63,900.00 - $95,900.00
Failure Analysis Engineers are a key resource for the manufacturing team, supporting validation of new processes or material and the identification of issues and corrective actions.
This position will primarily work within a laboratory environment at a manufacturing site in Neenah, WI.
Key Job Accountabilities:- Support manufacturing by troubleshooting product failures in both manufacturing and customer sites.
- Physical analysis of defective electronic, electrical and mechanical components.
- Support introduction of new product, process or material by analysis of assemblies.
- Monitor manufacturing processes using analysis test vehicles.
- Operate a variety of lab equipment to complete analysis.
- Generate reports to summarize findings using Google Workspace platform.
Additional Accountabilities:- Assist in assessment and management of 3rd party services.
- Research material properties and specifications and application.
- Establish and document standard assessment practices.
- Evaluate and purchase equipment to upgrade or meet new requirements.
- Manage lab equipment maintenance and calibration.
- Manage control consumable materials.
Education/Experience Qualifications:- Bachelor's Degree with 3 to 5 years of related experience is preferred. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in electronics troubleshooting failure analysis, rework or repair is preferred. Experience within a regulated industry is a plus.
- Hands-on experience in failure analysis of PCBAs, boards, or systems.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams to drive corrective actions.
- Intermediate Verbal and Written Communications Skills
- Strong Analytical and statistical analysis Skills; Statistical Process Control Software Skills
- Lab tool/ test/measurement equipment experience preferred
