Network Operations Engineer
Location: Midtown Manhattan, Must be onsite 4day per week (Mon thru Thurs)

About The Position:
We are seeking a highly skilled Network Operations Engineer to lead the day-to-day management and continuous improvement of its multi-site network infrastructure.
Reporting to the Director of Infrastructure and Security, the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, upgrading, and optimizing the firm's network environment.
This role requires close collaboration with Information Security, Systems, and Helpdesk teams to ensure all networking requirements for firm-wide initiatives are fully supported.
Strong, hands-on expertise with Cisco technologies — including Nexus, Catalyst, ISE, and wireless platforms — is essential, as is experience with network management tools such as SolarWinds.
While the current environment is predominantly Cisco-based, a strong foundational knowledge of broader network architecture, routing and switching protocols, and emerging multi-vendor solutions is critical as client evolves towards a more hybrid infrastructure.
This is an in-office role located in our New York City headquarters.
Responsibilities:
• Monitor and maintain the firm’s network infrastructure to ensure it remains secure, reliable, and aligned with industry best practices.
• Collaborate with the different team leads to find opportunities to streamline current support and provisioning processes.
• Create and maintain clear, accurate documentation for both new and existing network systems. Forster information/knowledge sharing between the IT teams to improve cross training and knowledge and to strengthen overall team capability.
• Work closely with the infosec team on all network-based security initiatives.

Key Experience and Skills Required:
While no one person may embody all the qualities enumerated below, the ideal candidate will possess many of the following professional and personal abilities, attributes, and experiences:
• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related discipline and seven to eight (7-8) years of hands-on experience in Cisco/network infrastructure support.
• In-depth knowledge of network architecture, routing and switching protocols, ACL’s, 802.1x, network and performance management tools, VOIP, VXLAN, etc.
• Familiarity with project management tools and ITSM platforms, ie. ServiceNow, JIRA, etc.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and autonomous problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a small team environment, think on your feet, and openly share knowledge to strengthen overall team capability
• Ability to build strong interpersonal relationships with other team members as well as end users.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document systems and procedures clearly
• Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
• Flexibility and willingness to adapt to evolving technologies and requirements.
• Cisco certifications are a plus as well as hands-on experience with Cisco DCNM / NDFC.
