Summary

Job Title: Senior AI/ML Engineer

Location: New Jersey (NJ)
Experience: 12+ Years

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior AI/ML Engineer with 12+ years of IT experience and strong expertise in designing, developing, and deploying Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and Generative AI solutions. The ideal candidate should have experience building scalable AI applications, deploying ML models in cloud environments, and working with modern LLM frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy Machine Learning and Deep Learning models for enterprise applications.
Build scalable AI/ML pipelines for data preprocessing, model training, validation, deployment, and monitoring.
Develop Generative AI solutions using Large Language Models (LLMs) such as GPT, Llama, Claude, Gemini, or Mistral.
Implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures using vector databases.
Fine-tune foundation models using techniques such as LoRA, PEFT, and prompt engineering.
Develop AI-powered chatbots, virtual assistants, document intelligence, and recommendation systems.
Collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, Software Engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver AI solutions.
Deploy AI/ML workloads on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform using Docker and Kubernetes.
Build REST APIs using FastAPI or Flask to serve ML models.
Implement MLOps pipelines using MLflow, Kubeflow, SageMaker, Vertex AI, or Azure ML.
Optimize model performance, scalability, and inference latency.
Ensure AI governance, responsible AI practices, model monitoring, and security compliance.
Mentor junior engineers and participate in architecture and design discussions.

Required Skills

12+ years of IT experience with 6+ years in AI/ML Engineering.
Strong programming experience in Python.
Expertise in Machine Learning algorithms and model development.
Hands-on experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, XGBoost, and Hugging Face Transformers.
Experience with Generative AI, LLMs, Prompt Engineering, RAG, and Vector Databases (Pinecone, FAISS, ChromaDB, Weaviate, Milvus).
Knowledge of LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, CrewAI, or similar AI orchestration frameworks.
Experience with FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
Strong SQL and NoSQL database experience.
Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
Familiarity with MLOps, MLflow, Kubeflow, SageMaker, Vertex AI, or Azure ML.
Experience with Git, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with multimodal AI models and AI agents.
Knowledge of NLP, Computer Vision, Speech AI, or Recommendation Systems.
Experience using AWS Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, Google Vertex AI, or OpenAI APIs.
Familiarity with Kafka, Spark, Databricks, and Snowflake.
Experience with Reinforcement Learning or Graph Neural Networks is a plus.
AI/ML certifications from AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or Databricks are preferred.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Education

Bachelor''s or Master''s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related field.
