Senior Data Engineer (SQL, DBT, Snowflake, ADF)

The Senior Data Engineer will design, develop, and optimize data solutions to support business processes and analytics within Investment Management. This role requires deep expertise in modern data engineering practices, cloud-native development, and advanced data transformation techniques. The engineer will work extensively with SQL, DBT, Snowflake, Azure Data Factory (ADF), Python, and job scheduling tools, while leveraging Azure Function Apps and Gen AI tools such as Cortex AI and GitHub Copilot for automation and productivity.

- Key Skills & Requirements
- 10–12 years of hands-on Data Engineering experience with strong coding skills.
- Strong expertise in SQL, Python, DBT, Snowflake, and Azure Data Factory (ADF).
- Experience with Snowpark, Snowsight, and complex data transformation workflows.
- Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT pipelines, dimensional modeling, and data warehousing.
- Experience with job schedulers, Azure Function Apps, API integrations, and pipeline orchestration.
- Strong knowledge of Git, CI/CD, DevSecOps, and Agile/Scrum.
- Familiarity with Gen AI tools, including Snowflake Cortex AI and GitHub Copilot/Agent Skills, for development automation and productivity.
- Strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable ADF, DBT, Python, and Snowflake data pipelines.
- Develop and optimize SQL/DBT/Python/Snowpark transformation logic and data models.
- Integrate job schedulers, APIs, ADF, and Azure Function Apps for automation and orchestration.
- Leverage Gen AI tools to improve development speed, code quality, and automation.
- Ensure data solutions meet governance, security, and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and mentor junior data engineers.
- Participate in Scrum ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives.
