Pay Range: $60 - $65/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer, configure, and maintain Application Security (AppSec) platforms and tools.
- Implement and manage SAST, SCA, and DAST solutions across the software development lifecycle.
- Integrate AppSec tools with CI/CD pipelines and automate security testing.
- Support development teams by providing security guidance, troubleshooting, and API integrations.
- Design and implement security controls for containerized applications running on Kubernetes.
- Participate in application migration initiatives from on-premises environments to Azure and from Rancher to Kubernetes.
- Develop and enhance security automation using scripting, APIs, and AI-driven security capabilities.
- Collaborate with engineering, DevOps, and development teams to embed security into the SDLC
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
- Skills- Strong Application Security (AppSec), SAST, SCA, and DAST Expertise, DevSecOps / CI-CD, Container Security, Security Automation, Cloud/Application Migration
- 7+ years of experience in Application Security (AppSec) or DevSecOps.
- Hands-on administration experience with Application Security platforms (developer-only experience is not sufficient).
- Strong experience implementing and administering:
- Static Application Security Testing (SAST)
- Software Composition Analysis (SCA)
- Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST)
- Experience with container security, including:
- Kubernetes
- Container images
- Container security best practices
- Container migration projects
- Strong CI/CD experience using tools such as Git and Jenkins.
- Experience with security automation and AI-based security solutions.
- Experience integrating security tools using APIs.
- Strong troubleshooting, collaboration, and communication skills.
- Background as a Software Developer before transitioning into Application Security or DevSecOps.
- Strong programming and scripting skills.
- Experience partnering closely with software engineering teams to improve application security.
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale application modernization initiatives.
