Overview
Our client is seeking a Project Management Analyst (PMA) / Junior Business Analyst to support the Distribution Program Management Office (DPMO). This role provides day-to-day analytical and administrative support to a Senior Project Manager overseeing various electric utility distribution programs and projects. The ideal candidate will blend data analytics, office administration, and project management support to manage program data, contract workflows, and stakeholder communications.
Responsibilities
Perform day-to-day project analytical activities to support electric utility distribution programs and projects. Support contract administration duties, including assisting with the development of Requests for Proposals (RFPs), creating contract requisitions, and tracking contract payment authorizations. Handle invoice review, approval processes, accruals, and overall contract tracking responsibilities. Manage and track high volumes of program-level data using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft SharePoint, and Microsoft Power BI. Interact and communicate effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. Travel periodically (1-2 times per month) for team meetings and site visits within the service territory.
Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor s degree and 3+ years of experience.
1 to 5 years of professional experience in an analytical, administrative, or project management support role.
Strong technical proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, equations, and complex data tracking).
Working knowledge of data tracking tools such as Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Power BI.
Outstanding problem-solving skills, high attention to detail, and exceptional time management abilities to manage large order volumes.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a dependable work ethic.
Ability to report in-person to the office location three mandatory days per week (Tuesday through Thursday).
Preferred Skills & Experience
Prior experience supporting utility programs, utility construction, or electric distribution projects.
Experience supporting a Senior Project Manager or working within a Program Management Office (PMO) environment.
