Genesis10 is currently seeking an Anaplan Solution Architect for a hybrid position with a Financial Services Corporation located in Newark, NJ. This is a 6 month contract opportunity requiring two days onsite per week. The Solution Architect is the technical authority for the Anaplan platform. They will recover institutional knowledge about models built with limited documentation, review and strengthen the architecture of existing models, and guide new model development across the roadmap. They will also resolve serious issues that the current consultant team is not equipped to handle.
Responsibilities: - Review the architecture of existing models, especially the consolidation model, which predates the current team and has a significant knowledge gap, and document findings
- Reconstruct and document how the environment was built, including model logic, dimensions, modules, actions, imports and dependencies
- Provide architectural direction for the compensation expense (workforce planning) model ahead of go-live
- Design and oversee security and access architecture, including roles, selective access and workspace administration, so employee salary data is never exposed through incorrect permissions
- Lead the technical design of planned revenue and expense planning models, working from a strategic module-by-module roadmap rather than only tactical fixes
- Define and review upstream and downstream data flows between Anaplan and the broader finance ecosystem (Oracle, HighRadius, data platform and integration layer)
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues and performance problems
- Establish model-building standards and best practices, and review the work of model builders
- Mentor internal staff and junior consultants to support knowledge transfer and long-term capability
- Work with the finance product, finance support and technology teams on design decisions, testing and release
Requirements: - Anaplan Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 Model Builder certification (Level 3 combined with L1 and L2 is the ideal profile)
- Hands-on FP&A knowledge: forecasting, budgeting, planning and financial reporting or consolidation concepts
- Proven end-to-end Anaplan implementation experience, including architecture of enterprise-scale, multi-model environments
- Experience taking over and stabilizing Anaplan environments with limited documentation
- Strong understanding of data integration patterns and upstream/downstream data flows in an enterprise finance landscape
- Experience designing security for sensitive data (for example compensation or HR data)
- Excellent communication skills with both technical and finance business stakeholders
Desired skills: - Experience in financial services or fintech
- Experience with workforce or compensation planning models
- Familiarity with Oracle ERP and HighRadius
- Experience with Anaplan administration, including workspace and user management and authentication or credential policies
- Experience with Anaplan Connect, CloudWorks, APIs or ETL tooling
