The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) is a naval research activity operating under the direction of the Commander, Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA). The Corporate Operations Department (Code 10), Code 00, TD and Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Headquarters (HQ) are an integral part of NUWCDIVNPT, responsible for providing timely and cost efficient business and operational services to the overall Division. These services include Human Resources, Infrastructure, Corporate Communications, Activity Chief Information Officer (ACIO)/Information Technology, Security, and Corporate Business Office functions. The Corporate Operations Department provides these responsive and affordable services to effectively support a workforce of approximately 3,000 government employees. The Corporate Operations Department provides administrative and technical services to all of NUWCDIVNPT including NUWC HQ in the areas of data gathering and analysis; technical writing; preparation of graphic material; data entry; database maintenance and administration; and software verification maintenance. The department also provides administrative research, analysis, and support services that include researching solutions; maintaining, reviewing and assessing compliance with governing guidance; and documenting, preparing, organizing and distributing all forms of communication.
Reporting to the Program Manager, the
Power Platform Developer/Data Analyst is responsible for providing database architecture, design, and modeling through various DoN and NAVSEA systems in support of the
Code 10 Administrative Support Services contract. This position is located in
Newport, RI.What You'll Do- Develop data models and structures that support accurate, efficient reporting and analytics.
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI and related data tools.
- Design and document data flows and architecture from source systems to final reporting outputs.
- Use Power Platform tools (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate) to support data entry, workflow automation, and process improvement.
- Implement appropriate data security, access controls, and compliance measures.
- Collaborate with leadership and staff to understand requirements and deliver effective data solutions.
- Participate in meetings and coordinate with personnel across various roles and backgrounds.
- Adhere to all records management, security, and regulatory policies established by the command.

What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications:- An active secret clearance is required to be considered for this position.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university required, with strong experience supporting program operations, analytics, or performance tracking.
- One to three or more years of experience in program management, data analysis, or related operational support roles.
- Experience working in Department of Defense (DoD) or government environments.
- Expert-level experience with SharePoint Online and Microsoft Lists, including building and maintaining collaborative tracking tools and dashboards.
- Expert-level experience with Power Automate, designing automated workflows to streamline reporting and program communications.
- Intermediate experience with Power Apps, supporting data entry and process improvement applications.
- Proficient in Power BI, with experience developing and maintaining dashboards that visualize key metrics, resource utilization, and program performance.
- Intermediate understanding of data modeling and organizing data for effective visualization and reporting.
- Experience utilizing DoD systems such as Flank Speed.
- Must possess basic computer literacy and data entry skills.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
- Must possess strong time management skills.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment.

Desired Qualifications:- Advanced experience with Power BI, including DAX, data modeling, and visual storytelling
- Familiarity with JSON, data exchange formats, and API-based integrations
- Strong analytical mindset with a focus on data quality, accuracy, and actionable insights
- Knowledge of distributed systems and cloud-based architectures
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to align technical data visualizations with program goals and leadership priorities
Physical Requirements:- Must be able to remain seated in a stationary position 50% of the time. Must also be able to alternate between sitting, standing, and walking.
INDUS aims to provide a competitive compensation package, including a strong pay for performance rewards approach. The expected base pay range for this position is $70,000 - $100,000. This position is eligible to participate in our corporate 401(k) and Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) programs, and may be eligible for performance bonuses, and other rewards and benefits (see more about our compensation package and benefits offered at Culture @ INDUS | INDUS Technology). The pay range for this role considers job-related knowledge, skills, work location, education and training, and certifications.
