Job Overview

We are seeking a Manufacturing Technician II to support biopharmaceutical manufacturing operations in a regulated cGMP environment. This role will execute manufacturing processes, maintain accurate documentation, support viral vector production, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure safe, compliant, and right-first-time manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

Execute manufacturing processes according to batch records, SOPs, and cGMP requirements.
Perform manufacturing activities with a strong focus on safety, quality, and right-first-time execution.
Collaborate with Manufacturing Science & Technology (MSAT), Facilities & Engineering (F&E), Quality, and Manufacturing teams.
Perform raw material weighing and electronic inventory transactions using MES and EBS.
Perform chromatography and Ultrafiltration/Diafiltration (UF/DF) operations supporting viral vector manufacturing.
Follow proper aseptic techniques, cleanroom practices, GDP, and scientific procedures.
Prepare and operate single-use systems for buffer preparation and filter integrity testing.
Assist with manual and automated filling of harvested viral vector material.
Identify and escalate process, equipment, and manufacturing issues as appropriate.
Assist with revisions to SOPs, Manufacturing Production Records (MPRs), and controlled documents.
Review in-process cGMP documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
Work effectively in a collaborative, inclusive, and cross-functional team environment.
Support off-shift and weekend work as required.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree, preferably in Biology, Life Sciences, or a related scientific discipline; OR
Associate/AA degree with 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, quality, or engineering within the biotech/pharmaceutical industry; OR
High School diploma with 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, quality, or engineering within the biotech/pharmaceutical industry.
Working knowledge of cGMP requirements is preferred.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and data analysis.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures and controlled documentation.
Self-motivated, adaptable, and willing to take on additional responsibilities as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in biopharmaceutical, cell therapy, or gene therapy manufacturing.
Hands-on experience with chromatography and/or UF/DF operations.
Experience working in a cleanroom or aseptic manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with MES, EBS, electronic inventory systems, or manufacturing documentation systems.
Experience with viral vector manufacturing is a plus.
