Job Description:
This contract position will work with the Traffic Office and the Technology Services Division s (TSD) Application Modernization Team under the Enterprise Applications Modernization team to modernize the TSMS application to a cloud-first web application.
This contract position serves as an Application Developer, working independently and with others to analyze, design, develop, and test a new TSMS application for Client.
The duties include application development, database design, data schema mapping, testing, deployment, troubleshooting, and problem resolution in an iterative and interactive style of development.
Mandatory & Desirable Knowledge and/or Skills
Mandatory:
- Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or related field and/or 4+ years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience developing applications
- 4+ years of experience developing applications using C#, ASP.NET, MVC architecture pattern, and Entity Framework
- 4+ years of experience with SQL Server, T-SQL, Reporting Services
- Experience using JavaScript, HTML, CSS
- Experience using Microsoft Visual Studio IDE
- Experience using/knowledge of Azure DevOps including source control, code review, build and release pipelines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Desirable:
- Experience developing with jQuery, Knockout, Bootstrap or Vue.js
- Ability to successfully work independently and in a team environment
- Proven track record of organizing and managing complex data projects from planning through execution
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Excellent documentation and organizational skills
