Job Description
You will be the Software Quality Engineer for the Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) team. Our team is responsible for pioneering high-performance air and missile defense, air-to-air, precision fires, close combat, sustainment, sensors, strike system, and energy storage solutions to support our warfighting and civilian customers.

As the Software Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our software solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative products. Developing and implementing software quality processes and procedures
Collaborating with development teams to identify and mitigate software risks
Analyzing and resolving software quality issues

Basic Qualifications
STEM degree at the bachelor level or above, or equivalent combined education/experience
Experience in system/software dependencies, process flow and development methodologies
Occasional travel is required to support program activities
Must be eligible for Secret Security Clearance
Desired skills
Able to work independently in an environment with challenging requirements and dynamic schedules
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and resolve technical issues with multiple teams, suppliers, and customer
Experience working with cross-functional teams (developers, system engineers, testers, suppliers) to ensure they understand and follow prescribed quality and process controls
Demonstrated experience performing evaluations of software processes and products
Experience in test planning, processing, and nonconformance processing, including root cause analysis and corrective action development
Experience in establishing quality assurance performance metrics for identifying process improvement
Experience with US Military customers and/or other government customer support organizations
Experience working with defense subcontractors and suppliers
Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt)
Root Cause Analysis methodologies and development of Corrective Action Plans
Knowledge of Industry recognized Quality Systems / Models such as Capability Maturity Model Integrated (CMMI), QMS System Audit (AS9100, ISO9001)

Ability to work remotely
Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $85,500 - $150,765. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Premium Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $98,300 - $170,315. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
