The Opportunity

StaffRight Associates is recruiting for a global leader operating across more than 70 countries to identify a high-caliber Project Engineer to lead key technical initiatives in Ottumwa, Iowa. Representing a world-class organization with a workforce exceeding 160,000 professionals, StaffRight Associates is managing this search to find an experienced engineer who can drive critical core technology projects, establish engineering standards, and shape foundational facilities and systems for long-term operational success.

What You’ll Do

Architect, design, and plan comprehensive project timelines, resource estimates, and budgets for facilities, structural components, and advanced manufacturing systems.
Execute multimillion-dollar capital initiatives while maintaining full accountability for cost, scope, and technical schedule integrity.
Formulate and deploy innovative technical solutions to resolve complex equipment challenges and prevent component failure across manufacturing systems.
Lead equipment specification, procurement strategies, and vendor selections by drafting, evaluating, and awarding competitive bid packages for labor and machinery.
Establish robust operational frameworks for construction, commissioning, and system start-up workflows, ensuring seamless on-site deployment.
Champion strict adherence to food safety standards and regulatory compliance across all engineered equipment and facility modifications.
Mentor and guide junior engineering talent through hands-on technical training, collaborative project execution, and peer coaching.
Navigate complex technical obstacles independently, utilizing senior leadership escalation selectively for ultra-critical operational issues.

What You Bring

Bachelor''s Degree In Engineering or a related technical domain.
Four or more years of hands-on experience in Project Engineering, Capital Projects, or technical facility design.
Demonstrated track record executing large-scale Capital Project Management initiatives or managing a multi-project Portfolio Management strategy.
Background in Food Manufacturing, Food Safety Standards, or Process Engineering within continuous production environments.
Proficiency in Equipment Specification, Procurement Strategies, Vendor Management, and Bid Package Development.
Expertise in Facility Design, System Commissioning, Start-Up Operations, and Construction Oversight.
Solid foundation in Budget Management, Cost Estimation, Root Cause Analysis, and Technical Problem Solving.

Compensation & Total Rewards
