Pay Rate Range: $80 to $90/hr. on w2, depending on experience

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Principal Mobile Engineer with deep expertise in iOS development and strong working knowledge of Android to lead the design, development, and evolution of AI-enabled mobile applications.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role responsible for mobile architecture, engineering best practices, mentoring, and delivering secure, scalable, and high-performing mobile applications. You will collaborate closely with Product, Design, Backend Engineering, Data, AI, and QA teams to build innovative mobile experiences that leverage modern AI and machine learning capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture and development of native iOS applications, ensuring high performance, scalability, security, and reliability.
- Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance for Android development to maintain cross-platform consistency and quality.
- Establish and enforce mobile engineering standards, best practices, and reusable components across the mobile ecosystem.
- Design and implement AI/ML-powered mobile capabilities, including personalization, intelligent automation, predictive insights, and on-device or cloud-based machine learning solutions.
- Develop native iOS applications using Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, and Combine.
- Partner with Product, Design, Backend Engineering, QA, and other cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional mobile experiences.
- Drive initiatives to improve mobile CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, application performance, and release quality.
- Implement observability and monitoring solutions using Datadog, Firebase, Xcode Instruments, and related tools.
- Manage mobile analytics using Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics.
- Mentor engineers through technical leadership, architecture reviews, code reviews, and best practices.
- Translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable mobile solutions.
- Operate within an AI-driven software development lifecycle utilizing modern AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Xcode AI integrations.
- Build and maintain dashboards, monitors, alerts, and reporting for mobile applications.
Requirements:
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of professional mobile application development experience.
- 3+ years of technical leadership experience leading iOS engineering teams.
- Expert-level proficiency in:
- Strong working knowledge of Kotlin and Android Architecture Components.
- Experience with:
- Azure DevOps
- Git
- Fastlane
- Firebase
- Experience managing App Store and Google Play releases, including TestFlight and internal testing tracks.
- Experience building cloud-connected mobile applications using Azure or AWS.
- Strong understanding of:
- RESTful APIs
- OAuth2
- Mobile application security best practices
- Experience implementing accessibility standards including WCAG, ARIA, VoiceOver, and inclusive mobile design.
- Experience implementing and managing:
- Datadog dashboards
- Firebase Crash Reporting
- Google Analytics
- Adobe Analytics
- Mobile application monitoring and alerting
- Experience with automated testing, unit testing, TDD, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency with development tools including:
- Xcode
- Android Studio
- GitHub
- Jira
- Confluence
- Figma
- Experience with mobile analytics, crash reporting, performance optimization, and user behavior tracking.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced Agile environment using AI-enhanced development workflows.
- Strong project organization skills, including scope management and budgeting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Experience building fintech or consumer-facing mobile applications.
- Experience with mobile payment platforms.
- Experience with identity verification solutions.
- Experience implementing push notification systems.
- Contributions to open-source mobile projects.
- Technical publications, conference speaking, or community leadership.
