Facilities Maintenance Technician in
Paso Robles, CA. As a Facilities Technician you will:
Support a medical production facility. This long-term temp-to-hire role is responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems, production support equipment, and facility infrastructure to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operations in a regulated medical manufacturing environment.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and inspections on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and facility systems.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment and building systems (including production support utilities) to minimize downtime.
- Respond to work orders and maintenance requests in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and documentation in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Support facility compliance with safety, cGMP, and quality standards applicable to a medical production environment.
- Conduct basic carpentry, painting, and general facility repairs as needed.
- Assist with equipment installations, relocations, and facility modifications.
- Monitor and respond to building automation/alarm systems.
- Follow all safety protocols, lockout/tagout procedures, and cleanroom or controlled-area requirements when applicable.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and support overall facility appearance and functionality.
- Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to support operational needs.
This is a Full Time Temp to Hire opportunity!
Schedule: 4/10s (Monday-Thursday)
The Ideal candidate will have: - High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or vocational certification preferred.
- 2+ years of facilities or industrial maintenance experience (medical, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, or similar regulated environment preferred).
- Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, work at heights, and perform physical tasks associated with maintenance work.
- Reliable attendance and ability to work a consistent Monday-Thursday 4/10 schedule.
- Willingness to follow strict safety, quality, and cleanliness standards required in a medical production facility.
- Experience in a cGMP, ISO, or FDA-regulated environment.
- Basic electrical, welding, or instrumentation skills.
- Forklift or aerial lift certification.
- Knowledge of building automation systems.
