Job DescriptionJob Summary:When you're operating a mission-critical facility, everything starts with the infrastructure that keeps it running. Power, cooling, environmental controls, backup systems, and building infrastructure have to perform-day in and day out.
As the Systems Engineering Area Manager, Facilities, you'll lead the engineering strategy behind the systems that make that possible. You'll oversee electrical distribution, substations, critical power, HVAC and cooling systems, facility controls, and other essential infrastructure while planning for the capacity and reliability needed for today's operations and tomorrow's growth. You'll bring together engineering, operations, maintenance, construction, and technical teams to solve complex problems, strengthen resiliency, and ensure our facilities are ready for whatever comes next.
What You Will Do:Lead engineering teams responsible for the reliability, performance, and lifecycle of Centrus' critical electrical and mechanical infrastructure, including medium- and low-voltage distribution, substations, transformers, switchgear, UPS systems, generators, energy storage, HVAC, cooling systems, and facility controls. You'll develop strategies for reliability, redundancy, maintenance, capacity, and long-term infrastructure growth; oversee system studies, testing, commissioning, and major modifications; lead investigations when critical infrastructure doesn't perform as expected; and drive improvements that make our facilities safer, more reliable, efficient, and resilient. You'll also manage engineering partners and vendors, develop technical standards and investment strategies, build high-performing teams, and work closely with Operations, OT Controls, Systems Engineering, Construction, IT, Security, Safety, and other engineering organizations.
