Position Overview
The Senior Associate, Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) Journey Builder plays a hands-on role in translating customer engagement strategies into personalized, real-time experiences using Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) and Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO). This role is responsible for designing, configuring, testing, deploying, and optimizing customer journeys that align with business objectives and deliver measurable outcomes. Working closely with marketing, analytics, data, and product teams, the Journey Builder will help drive personalized interactions across multiple channels while ensuring a seamless customer experience. This position can be performed remotely from anywhere within the United States.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure, test, deploy, and optimize customer journeys and campaigns within Adobe Journey Optimizer based on business requirements and personalization strategies.
- Build, refine, and validate audience segments within Adobe Experience Platform using customer attributes, behavioral data, and real-time signals.
- Partner with lifecycle marketing, data analytics, data science, and channel teams to implement journey logic and improve targeting effectiveness.
- Perform comprehensive quality assurance testing across journey components, including event triggers, decisioning logic, wait steps, personalization rules, and cross-channel experiences.
- Monitor journey and campaign performance, troubleshoot execution issues, and collaborate with analytics teams to continuously improve results.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for Adobe Journey Optimizer and Adobe Experience Platform capabilities.
- Support best practices, governance standards, documentation, and team enablement efforts related to journey orchestration and personalization.
- Contribute to ongoing platform enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives.

- Help maximize the value of Adobe Experience Platform investments across the organization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, Information Systems, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
- 3+ years of experience in marketing operations, lifecycle marketing, campaign execution, customer journey management, or a related discipline.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience working within Adobe Journey Optimizer (AJO), Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or similar customer engagement platforms.
- Strong understanding of customer journey orchestration, audience segmentation, event-driven marketing, personalization, and decisioning logic.
- Experience configuring and launching multi-channel campaigns and customer journeys.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work across business and technical teams.
- Ability to thrive in agile, cross-functional, and fast-paced environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Adobe Experience Platform and/or Adobe Journey Optimizer certifications.
- Experience with Adobe Real-Time Customer Data Platform (RTCDP), XDM schemas, and customer identity management concepts.
- Familiarity with event tagging, customer data collection frameworks, and customer profile management.
- Experience working in highly regulated industries such as healthcare, insurance, or financial services.
- Exposure to APIs, JSON payloads, and event-based integrations.
- Understanding of responsive email design, accessibility standards, and customer communication best practices.
- Knowledge of Next Best Action (NBA) frameworks and personalization strategies.
