SummaryPerforms non-technical processing of hazardous and non-hazardous waste by performing the following duties. Candidates will have to pass a drug screen and criminal background check, as well as a fitness for duty test which includes a pulmonary function test.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Operating industrial shredder, extractor, compacter, aerosol puncture device and drum washer
- Sorting non-hazardous waste, such as batteries, light bulbs and household paint
- De-packaging and sorting consumer product
- Pumping bulk liquids into tanks/tankers
- Loading and unloading trucks using hand carts/barrel carts
- Participating in Household Hazardous Waste Collections at customer sites occasionally

Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Mathematical Skills Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10\'s and 100\'s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American weight measurement, volume, and distance.
