Senior Technical Architect – AWS Cloud & Databricks

Location: Remote

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technical Architect with a deep understanding of AWS Cloud and Databricks to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with a proven track record of designing, implementing, and optimizing complex data platforms. You will play a pivotal role in driving the adoption of cloud technologies and big data solutions within our organization, ensuring scalability, resilience, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design and architecture of cloud-based data platforms, leveraging AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, EMR, Redshift) and Databricks to build scalable and resilient solutions.
Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into robust technical designs.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
Ensure adherence to cloud best practices, security standards, and compliance requirements.
Develop and maintain architectural roadmaps and technical standards for the organization.
Conduct proof-of-concept (PoC) and pilot projects to evaluate new technologies and solutions.
Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in cloud computing and big data technologies, and drive their adoption within the organization.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
8+ years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience with AWS cloud technologies.
Proven expertise in designing and implementing data platforms on AWS, including EC2, S3, EMR, Redshift, and other relevant services.
Deep understanding of Databricks architecture, including Delta Lake, Spark, and MLflow.
Strong knowledge of data engineering principles, data warehousing, and data modeling.
Experience with data integration, ETL/ELT processes, and data quality management.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Scala, and strong SQL skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
