Job Title: Data Engineer – Snowflake / DBT

Location: Plano, TX

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Snowflake and DBT to design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud-based data pipelines and data warehouse solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL and data modeling skills and experience working with modern ELT/ETL frameworks.

Required Skills

4+ years of experience in Data Engineering / Data Warehousing.
Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake.
Strong hands-on experience with DBT (Data Build Tool).
Advanced SQL skills, including query optimization and performance tuning.
Strong understanding of ETL/ELT pipelines.
Experience developing DBT models, macros, tests, snapshots, and documentation.
Experience with Python for data processing and automation.
Experience working with structured and semi-structured data such as JSON and Parquet.
Experience troubleshooting and optimizing production data pipelines.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable ELT/ETL pipelines using Snowflake and DBT.
Develop reusable and optimized DBT models, transformations, macros, tests, and snapshots.
Write complex SQL queries and perform query/performance optimization.
Build data ingestion and transformation workflows from multiple enterprise data sources.
Implement data quality checks and validation using DBT and other testing frameworks.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production pipeline issues.
Optimize Snowflake workloads for performance, scalability and cost.
Translate business requirements into technical data solutions.
Maintain technical documentation for data pipelines, models and processes.
