Job Overview
We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer with strong experience in Azure platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, networking, automation, and Linux administration. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, optimizing, and supporting enterprise-scale Azure infrastructure and cloud platforms.
This role requires a hands-on engineer who can work across cloud, networking, systems, containerization, automation, and infrastructure operations. The successful candidate will also contribute to platform standards, reliability, security, observability, and technical strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure Azure infrastructure solutions.
- Build, manage, and optimize Kubernetes and containerized platforms, including Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
- Design and support Azure networking environments, including Hub-and-Spoke architecture, UDRs, routing, and cloud connectivity.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Build, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployments.
- Administer and troubleshoot Linux-based infrastructure in enterprise environments.
- Support Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and containerized workloads.
- Manage Azure Entra ID, identity, access management, and security controls.
- Implement automation to improve infrastructure deployment, operational efficiency, and reliability.
- Monitor infrastructure performance and implement observability solutions.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, networking, cloud, and platform issues.
- Collaborate with cloud, networking, security, development, and infrastructure teams.
- Establish infrastructure standards, best practices, and technical documentation.
- Participate in platform modernization and cloud transformation initiatives.
- Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and contribute to technical direction.
Required Technical Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and Azure platform engineering.
- Strong knowledge of Azure networking, including:
- Hub-and-Spoke architecture
- User Defined Routes (UDRs)
- Routing
- Network connectivity
- VPN and related connectivity technologies
- Strong Linux administration experience; approximately 90% Linux and 10% Windows.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, preferably Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
- Experience with Docker and Helm.
- Strong Terraform and Infrastructure as Code experience.
- Experience developing and supporting CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with Azure Entra ID and IAM.
- Strong scripting and infrastructure automation experience.
- Experience with cloud monitoring, observability, and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure security and enterprise cloud environments.
Preferred Certifications
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate
- HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
Preferred Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in infrastructure, systems engineering, cloud engineering, or a related field.
- Strong experience supporting enterprise-scale cloud environments.
- Experience working across infrastructure, networking, security, and development teams.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to technical strategy.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment with 3 days onsite in Plano, TX.
