Working with technical Leads (TL) and Subject Matter Experts (SME) to design and implement new features. This team is primarily responsible for Java code and the PostgreSQL database. Successful candidates will join a development team in Ground Software and Image Science discipline, directly supporting solutions developed by L3Harris's Space Ground Solutions (SGS) Group.
Essential Functions:- Maintain and add features to existing backend services.
- Design and implement new backend services.
- Maintain and create documentation about backend services and procedures.

- Experience with Java, preferably Java 11 or newer.
- Experience writing unit tests, preferably JUnit and Mockito.
- Experience with SQL, preferably PostgreSQL.
- Experience with Linux.
- Experience with Java build tools, preferably Maven.
- Experience with GIT.
- Experience with Java IDEs, preferably Netbeans.
- Experience with collaboration software like Bitbucket or Gitlab.
- Must be able to collaboratively work in a pull-request environment.
- Experience with continuous integration (CI) software like Jenkins.
- Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI or SCI eligibility
Preferred Additional Skills:- Experience in Java Enterprise development highly desired, preferably JBoss/Wildfly.
- Experience with RESTful services.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in the states of New York and Florida is $97,000-$180,000. The salary range for this role in Virginia (Greater Washington, D.C. Area) is $111,500-$207,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
