Job Description
We are seeking a Software Engineer V to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in database systems, operating systems, and full SDLC and a proven ability to design, develop, test, and secure enterprise-grade software and data platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Review and approve modifications to existing databases and database management systems.
- Instruct staff to write and code logical and physical database descriptions and define identifiers for management systems.
- Direct database development and approve project scope and limitations.
- Review project requests describing database user needs and estimate time and cost.
- Plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard information against unauthorized access or damage.
- Approve, schedule, plan, and supervise installation and testing of new products and system improvements.
- Develop standards and guidelines for software use, acquisition, and protection of sensitive information.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency with database systems and development tools such as SQL and Visual Basic or similar technologies.
- Strong verbal and written communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
- Expert ability to work independently, manage time, and mentor team members.
- Expert knowledge of the full software development lifecycle, from analysis and requirements to testing and delivery.
- Expert troubleshooting skills and ability to implement system changes to resolve issues.
- Expert knowledge of computer hardware and software fundamentals.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with operating systems-level software, compilers, or network distribution software.
- Background in security best practices for safeguarding data and systems.
