The Challenge Ahead:
We're looking for a People Experience Business Partner with an entrepreneurial mindset - someone who thrives in dynamic environments and has experience helping organizations scale from early-stage, builder-led teams into larger, more durable growth companies.
This role will support EA's AI & Uorganization, partnering with leaders who are building new capabilities at the intersection of technology, creativity, and player experience. You will help the organization build what is right for this stage while preparing for what comes next. You will be a strategic partner to leaders, a culture shaper, and a builder who knows when to move fast, when to pause, and when to introduce more scalable ways of working.
The People Experience Business Partner for AI & Ubuilds the talent strategy and People Experience roadmap. You will partner with senior leaders to build leadership capability, enable business strategy, support organizational effectiveness, and develop people practices that help the organization scale with speed and discipline.
This is a hybrid remote/in-office role requiring at least three days in Redwood City or Vancouver.
What the PE Business Partner does at EA:
Strategic Talent Building for Each Stage: You partner with leaders to design talent strategies that align with current needs while anticipating the next phase of growth. Build pragmatic solutions that work today, then adapt them as scale demands.
Lead Organizational Evolution: You help transition from startup structures into more defined teams, without losing velocity. Guide leaders through organizational shifts, role clarity, and cultural alignment during rapid change.
Build Leadership Capability: You serve as a trusted advisor to leadership, balancing empathy with candor. Coach leaders to navigate growth, develop successful teams, and lead through ambiguity and change. Help managers build strong leaders as the organization matures.
Organizational Effectiveness: You identify structural or cultural barriers early and build lightweight, yet effective solutions. Partner with centers of excellence (e.g., Talent, Total Rewards, Learning, OE) while keeping solutions lean and flexible.
Use Data & Insights as Your Compass: You track people and organizational metrics and provide insights that inform decisions.
Guide Workforce & Talent Planning: You translate business strategy into talent priorities, including workforce planning, succession, hiring strategy, and capability development to ensure the organization is prepared for future growth.
Raise the Talent Bar: You partner with leaders to build mission-aligned, teams, through thoughtful talent reviews and planning that strengthen organizational capability over time.
Simplify How Work Gets Done: Help teams establish scalable operating rhythms, planning processes, and ways of working that increase clarity, accountability, and execution without creating unnecessary bureaucracy.
To be the next great People Experience Business Partner at EA:
You have 10+ years in HR/People Experience, with time spent in startups and high-growth environments.
You've got proven ability to build HR/people infrastructure from scratch, and to reinvent it as organizations scale.
You're strong in org design, change leadership, and talent strategy.
You have demonstrated ability to balance speed with strategic scaling.
You're comfortable challenging leaders and inspiring them to think differently.
You have passion for building cultures that embrace experimentation and continuous reinvention.
Pay Transparency - North America
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).
PAY RANGES
* California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. San Francisco) *$182,600 - $276,300 USD
Pay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA.
In the US, we offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and other incentive programs.
