Adobe ColdFusion Developer
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Adobe ColdFusion Developer to support a federal government web application and database environment. The selected candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, enhancing, and upgrading ColdFusion-based applications, as well as supporting application/database integration and Agile software development activities.
This position will support a production federal web application serving public users, government staff, partners, recipients, and other stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Adobe ColdFusion, Oracle Database, web application development, and Agile SDLC practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance Adobe ColdFusion application code supporting a federal government project.
- Develop and implement application fixes, functional enhancements, workflow changes, and software upgrades.
- Support application reliability, availability, performance, and overall maintainability.
- Participate in Agile SDLC activities, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and documentation.
- Develop and update requirements documentation, high-level and detailed design documents, system documentation, and test documentation.
- Integrate ColdFusion applications with Oracle Database and assist with application/database issue triage.
- Troubleshoot production application issues and implement corrective actions.
- Support federal reporting and application changes driven by requirements from OMB, NARA, and DHS/CISA.
- Support software development activities related to grants management and related business applications, as required.
- Collaborate with technical and functional stakeholders to identify requirements and deliver application enhancements.
- Support upgrades and modernization efforts to maintain application compatibility and supportability.
- Work within an AWS-hosted application environment as required.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of professional Adobe ColdFusion development experience.
- Hands-on experience with Adobe ColdFusion 2021 or a current supported version.
- Experience developing and supporting web applications.
- Experience working with Oracle Database and application/database integration.
- Experience supporting applications in a Microsoft Windows environment.
- Experience with application troubleshooting, production support, defect resolution, enhancements, and upgrades.
- Experience with Agile Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
- Experience creating and maintaining requirements, design, system, and testing documentation.
- Ability to analyze application issues and work effectively with technical and functional teams.
- Experience supporting federal government applications or projects is strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting the Denali Commission or other Alaska-based federal programs is highly desirable.
- Grants-related software development experience is a plus.
Preferred Certifications
Candidates with at least one of the following certifications are preferred:
- Adobe Certified Professional Adobe ColdFusion (AD0-P101)
- ISC2 Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP)
- AWS Certified Developer Associate
Federal Government / Security Requirements
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain Non-Sensitive Public Trust suitability, as applicable.
- Ability to obtain and use required government credentials, including PIV or YubiKey credentials.
- Personnel accessing government systems may be subject to government NDA and suitability requirements.
- Prior federal government experience is preferred, with Denali Commission experience highly desirable.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a hands-on Adobe ColdFusion Developer with strong application development and production-support experience. The candidate should be comfortable working with Oracle databases, troubleshooting enterprise web applications, participating in Agile development activities, and supporting federal government application requirements.
