Banner Developer Duration: 6 12-month contract (potential extension)

The team is seeking a Senior Banner Developer to support several upcoming student systems initiatives. While there is no urgency to fill the role immediately, the hiring manager emphasized that quality is far more important than speed and is focused on finding the right long-term fit.

- Customization of the Banner transcript process for the undergraduate student population
- Enhancements and modernization within Banner Self-Service
- Expansion of Ellucian Ethos integrations and capabilities
- Migration of applications from Self-Service and legacy environments into Ethos
- Ongoing Banner customization and development efforts
- Support for upcoming federal compliance and regulatory requirements
- Evaluation of additional Ellucian technologies, including:
- Ellucian Intelligent Processes / Intelligence Platform
- Evisions FormFusion
- Potential future custom transcript development initiatives

Team Structure Team Size: 7-8 resources

The selected candidate will work closely with both technical and functional stakeholders across the institution.

The team is specifically looking for a Senior-Level Banner Developer with deep and broad Banner experience.

- Someone who has only supported one module or one narrow area of Banner

Core Responsibilities Banner Development & Support
- Work extensively within the Banner environment
- Understand standard Banner processes and architecture
- Modify and customize baseline Banner functionality as needed
- Support ongoing Banner development initiatives
Ethos Initiatives
- Assist with the organization's transition toward increased use of Ellucian Ethos
- Support application migrations from Self-Service and legacy solutions into Ethos
- Help drive modernization efforts focused on integration and user experience
Custom Development
- Develop and maintain custom applications that pull data from Banner
- Utilize:
- PL/SQL
- Grails
- Banner development tools and technologies
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner directly with functional clients and business teams
- Gather requirements and shape technical solutions
- Provide guidance and recommendations while balancing user requests with technical best practices

- Transcript-related processing experience is highly desirable
