Provide Benchling development and technical support for the Omics product team. Work with scientists, business analysts, and engineering teams to design, build, test, and support Benchling-based scientific workflows and integrations.
Hands-on Benchling configuration and development, including Registry schemas, entities, templates, result tables, workflows, and Benchling Apps.
Experience developing scientific workflows supporting genomics and other Omics modalities.
Experience with Benchling APIs and integrations, including application/service-account patterns for programmatic access.
Experience integrating Benchling with enterprise data sources and downstream analysis platforms.
Understanding of scientific data modeling and metadata management, including relationships among experiments, samples, processing batches, sequencing samples, and results.
Ability to troubleshoot Benchling configuration, workflow, and integration issues.
Primary Responsibilities

Design and implement new Benchling Omics workflows and enhance existing workflows.
Configure schemas, templates, fields, result tables, and associated data models.
Develop and maintain Benchling integrations and API-based automation.
Translate scientific and business requirements into Benchling solutions.
Support testing and deployment across Benchling environments.
Troubleshoot workflow, configuration, application, and integration issues.
Support ongoing development of Benchling as the Omics Experiment Management System (OEMS). [Benchling for Omics | SharePoint]
Nice to Have
Experience with AWS/cloud-based scientific data environments.
Familiarity with bioinformatics and Omics data flows.
Experience integrating scientific metadata with downstream analysis systems.
Experience working directly with research scientists to translate laboratory processes into digital workflows.
