Email Developer - Business to Business OR B2B

A B2B Email Developer designs, codes, and optimizes responsive HTML templates and automated drip campaigns for business-to-business marketing or operational workflows. While the client typically hires general or business analysts rather than dedicated B2B email developers, a tailored job profile for this niche role involves specific core duties and technical requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Code and maintain modular, responsive HTML/CSS email templates tailored for B2B client journeys and lifecycle marketing.
- Build dynamic content, personalized tokens, and complex data-driven logic via ESPs (Email Service Providers) like Salesforce Marketing Cloud or Marketo.
- Execute QA testing across major corporate email clients (Outlook, Apple Mail, Gmail) to fix rendering bugs.
- Monitor deliverability rates, sender reputation, and compliance standards (CAN-SPAM, GDPR).
- Collaborate with B2B marketing, product, and data analytics teams to launch automated nurture streams.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience coding responsive HTML/CSS emails from scratch.
- Strong fluency in Litmus or Acid for cross-client email rendering checks.
- Familiarity with enterprise marketing automation platforms (HubSpot, Marketo, or Pardot).
- Basic understanding of JavaScript, API integrations, or AMP for email functionality.
