Dev10 is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineering Instructor (Java) for a Remote position. This is an 8+ month contract-to-hire opportunity. This position is ideal for a software developer who enjoys teaching, mentoring, and helping others launch successful careers in technology. The successful candidate will guide Associates through an intensive software engineering training program focused on Java, full-stack development, databases, APIs, testing, and modern software engineering practices. In addition to delivering instruction and providing technical coaching, the Instructor will collaborate with fellow instructors to continuously improve curriculum and ensure students are prepared to meet the evolving needs of clients and the technology industry.
Responsibilities: - Participate in training activities daily during core hours of 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM CT
- Deliver technical instruction, demonstrations, workshops, and Q&A sessions
- Create an engaging and supportive learning environment that promotes student success
- Monitor student progress and provide coaching to help Associates achieve learning objectives
- Support and troubleshoot student challenges during labs, exercises, and project work
- Foster confidence, accountability, and problem-solving skills among Associates
- Conduct weekly code reviews and provide detailed, constructive feedback
- Evaluate technical assignments against established standards and best practices
- Meet one-on-one with Associates who need additional support or guidance
- Collaborate with the instructional team to continuously improve curriculum and training materials
- Support technical evaluations used during the recruiting process
- Mentor new instructors as they develop classroom management and instructional skills
Requirements: - 3+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong understanding of full-stack software engineering principles and practices
- Passion for mentoring, coaching, and developing technical talent
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to explain technical concepts to individuals with varying levels of experience

- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS
- Exposure to AI-assisted development tools, Generative AI, or Agentic application development

Pay range: $110,000 - $150,000 annually Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
