Position Overview
We are seeking highly skilled **Senior Systems Engineers with an Identity and Access Management (IAM/ICAM) focus** to support a large-scale enterprise Identity & Access Management modernization program for the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA).
This is a hands-on engineering role** focused on assessing applications, evaluating authentication and identity architectures, determining appropriate integration patterns, onboarding applications, troubleshooting authentication issues, and developing migration approaches.
The program involves transitioning applications from a legacy DLA identity management environment to a DISA-managed enterprise environment, with **Okta anticipated as the target platform**.
## Key Responsibilities
* Assess applications from an IAM/ICAM and authentication perspective.
* Work directly with application owners and technical teams.
* Inventory and evaluate existing application authentication methods and identity structures.
* Determine appropriate IAM integration and authentication patterns.
* Support application onboarding and integration into enterprise identity platforms.
* Develop migration runbooks, checklists, specifications, and implementation approaches.
* Perform hands-on SAML-based application integrations.
* Support OIDC, OAuth, and SSO implementations.
* Configure and troubleshoot attributes, roles, groups, and access structures.
* Diagnose authentication and application integration issues.
* Support integration testing, validation, and production transition activities.
* Work with API connectors and application interfaces.
* Provide technical support throughout migration and implementation activities.
* Contribute to IAM architecture and design decisions.
* Collaborate with cross-functional application, security, and infrastructure teams.
