Kubernetes Infrastructure Engineer

Job Scope:
Operations
• Building, deploying, and maintaining on-premises Kubernetes clusters from the ground up, including control plane components, etc., networking (CNI), storage (CSI), and ingress controllers
• Performing Kubernetes cluster lifecycle management: upgrades, patching, scaling, and decommissioning
• Deploying, configuring, and managing containerized applications on existing Kubernetes infrastructure
• Administering and troubleshooting Linux-based servers that underpin the Kubernetes environment
• Monitoring cluster health, diagnosing node and pod-level issues, and performing capacity planning
• Managing container runtimes (e.g., container), container registries, and image lifecycle
• Configuring and maintaining cluster networking (Calico or similar CNI plugins), load balancers, and DNS
• Implementing and managing persistent storage solutions (NFS, local PV, or CSI drivers)
• Supporting internal teams with service migrations to Kubernetes, troubleshooting deployment issues, and handling escalations
Engineering
• Writing and maintaining automation scripts (Bash, Python) for cluster provisioning, configuration management, and operational tasks
• Creating and maintaining Helm charts, or other templating solutions for application deployments
• Building and improving CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application delivery
• Creating, modifying, and reviewing technical documentation and runbooks
Skills - Must Have
• Experience building and maintaining Kubernetes clusters from scratch
• Experience deploying & managing applications
• Linux OS admin & troubleshooting
• Scripting & coding skills in Bash & or Python
• Docker, container, OCI images, container registries
