Description
We are looking for an IT Field Services Tech to provide on-site technical support for a wide range of end-user and connected technologies in Houston, Texas. This Long-term Contract position focuses on maintaining reliable desktop environments, mobile devices, telecom tools, patient-facing systems, and network-connected equipment while delivering responsive service to internal users. The role works closely with operational teams and external partners to install, configure, troubleshoot, and support technology used across clinical and business settings. Success in this position requires strong technical judgment, a service-oriented mindset, and a commitment to security, privacy, and compliance standards.
Responsibilities:
Deliver hands-on support for desktops, software applications, mobile devices, telecom systems, patient entertainment technology, and other connected equipment used across the organization.
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, connectivity, and user-access issues in a timely manner to minimize operational disruption.
Install, configure, test, and maintain technology solutions that support clinical, biomedical, security, engineering, and administrative environments.
Coordinate with internal teams and third-party vendors to complete service requests, equipment deployments, escalations, and technical problem resolution.
Monitor service performance and respond to incidents with a focus on meeting service expectations and improving the end-user experience.
Apply security, data privacy, and file-handling practices that align with organizational policies and established IT standards.
Document support activities, technical findings, asset updates, and resolution steps to maintain accurate service records.
Assist with device setup, moves, replacements, and other field service activities related to network-enabled and end-user computing equipment.
Requirements
Experience providing in-person technical support for desktop systems, applications, mobile devices, and network-connected hardware.
Working knowledge of cyber security, data privacy, database security, and cyber governance principles in an IT support environment.
Ability to troubleshoot operating systems, user account issues, peripheral devices, and connectivity problems effectively.
Familiarity with handling computer files, maintaining documentation, and following established service procedures.
Strong communication skills with the ability to support users professionally and work effectively with cross-functional teams and vendors.
Ability to prioritize multiple support requests while maintaining quality, accuracy, and responsiveness.
Commitment to following compliance requirements, security standards, and organizational policies in daily technical work.
