The OT System Integration Engineer is the controls specialist who designs and implements the Virtual Building Automation System (VBAS) automation logic at Comcast facilities. They build the stage-up and stage-down automation sequences that respond to thermal and electrical threshold triggers, integrate with existing HVAC controller interfaces from Eaton, Siemens, Liebert (Vertiv), and other vendors, and implement the safety interlock and manual override framework. The VBAS POC operates at two Downingtown pilot sites in Recommend Mode (operators approve every recommended action; no autonomous execution until a separate Change Order is approved). This role requires deep HVAC controls engineering knowledge with hands-on familiarity with industrial protocols (BACnet/IP, BACnet MS/TP, Modbus TCP, OPC-UA), and is supported by AWS IoT Greengrass v2 and SiteWise Edge for protocol translation at the edge. The integration engineer works as part of the joint Comcast/AWS/TSG team.
