OpenSearch Senior Manager L2 (C2)
Location : Remote
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Open Search Senior Manager to lead the engineering, operations, modernization, and migration of enterprise-scale OpenSearch and Elasticsearch platforms. This role will be responsible for building secure, highly available, scalable, and automated search infrastructure while driving migrations from existing Elasticsearch environments to OpenSearch.
The ideal candidate combines deep hands-on expertise in OpenSearch/Elasticsearch administration and migration, Terraform Infrastructure as Code (IaC), OpenSearch Dashboards, security and Fine-Grained Access Control (FGAC), JWT-based authentication, Document-Level Security (DLS), Field-Level Security (FLS), and modern CI/CD automation.
The Senior Manager will provide technical leadership across the search platform lifecycle, including architecture, provisioning, upgrades, migration, security, monitoring, performance optimization, automation, incident management, and production operations.
AWS documents OpenSearch fine-grained access control as supporting role-based access and controls at the index, document, and field levels, making these capabilities particularly relevant to the security responsibilities of this role. AWS also supports JWT-based authentication and authorization for Amazon OpenSearch Service when fine-grained access control is enabled.
