Role: Senior Oracle Financial Cloud Techno-Functional Consultant

Location: Remote – EST Hours

Contract Duration: 6–12 Months

Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Oracle Financial Cloud Techno-Functional Consultant with strong Oracle Fusion Financials experience and a solid understanding of banking/lending processes.

The ideal candidate will be a functional consultant with strong technical/system-analyst capabilities who can understand complex financial business processes, determine how Oracle Fusion should support them, and translate requirements into detailed technical stories that development teams can execute.

Banking or lending experience is highly preferred, particularly experience involving loan origination, disbursement, payments, ACH, money movement, and financial accounting.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead functional analysis and requirements gathering for Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand financial and banking requirements.
• Translate business requirements into detailed functional and technical requirements.
• Create detailed user stories, PBIs, acceptance criteria, process flows, and functional specifications.
• Work with developers and architects to ensure requirements are technically feasible and accurately implemented.
• Support configuration and functional design across Oracle Financials modules.
• Analyze end-to-end financial processes, including payments, ACH, money movement, accounting entries, and GL posting.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Technical Architects, Developers, QA teams, and Technical Project Managers.
• Review solutions and provide functional guidance throughout development and testing.
• Participate in SIT/UAT, defect analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution.
• Support integration and data-flow discussions between Oracle and external banking/financial systems.
• Maintain functional documentation and provide knowledge transfer.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of Oracle Financials experience, with strong hands-on experience in Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials.
• Strong functional knowledge of:
• General Ledger (GL)
• Accounts Payable (AP)
• Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Cash Management
• Payments
• Reconciliation
• Strong understanding of end-to-end financial processes.
• Experience with banking or lending processes, including:
• Loan origination
• Loan disbursement
• Payments
• ACH
• Money movement
• Accounting and GL posting
• Strong ability to bridge the gap between business requirements and technical implementation.
• Experience writing detailed user stories, PBIs, acceptance criteria, functional specifications, and technical requirements.
• Experience working with Azure DevOps for backlog management, user stories, PBIs, and requirements.
• Ability to work effectively with business stakeholders, architects, developers, QA, Product Owners, and TPMs.
• Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in financial services, banking, lending, or fintech environments.
• Experience integrating Oracle Fusion Financials with banking or payment platforms.
• Understanding of payment interfaces, ACH processing, and financial integrations.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Experience with Azure DevOps Boards and related Agile tools.
• Oracle Fusion Financials certification is a plus.
