Description:
The Planview Data Administrator & Support Contractor is responsible for maintaining exceptional data hygiene within Planview to ensure the CDT PMO’s project and portfolio information is accurate, clean, and reliable. This contractor plays a critical role in executing data cleanup routines, resolving data quality issues, and upholding strong governance standards across all CDT PMO portfolios. In addition, the role provides operational support to the senior PMO Operations Analyst / Planview Administrator, assisting with system administration, reporting preparation, and PMO process execution.
Key Responsibilities:
++Primary Focus: Planview Data Hygiene, Cleanup & Quality Control
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly Planview data hygiene routines to ensure all CDT PMO project, resource, and financial data is current, accurate, and compliant with governance standards.
Identify inconsistencies, missing attributes, incorrect mappings, incomplete project setups, orphan objects, and outdated records; prioritize and execute corrective actions.
Partner with the senior PMO Operations Analyst to implement enhanced data governance controls and standardized templates that reduce recurrence of data errors.
Maintain high‑quality data to support accurate PMO performance metrics, portfolio health dashboards, resource forecasting, and financial reporting.
Prepare issue logs and remediation summaries to provide visibility into recurring data problems and recommended systemic fixes.
++User Support & Issue Resolution
Provide Tier 1/Tier 2 support to Planview and AgilePlace users, with special emphasis on correcting data mistakes, helping users enter high‑quality data, and reinforcing PMO standards.
Collaborate with the senior administrator to deliver user guidance, micro‑trainings, and playbooks focused on proper data entry and hygiene.
Support PMs in resolving timesheet errors, resource assignment mismatches, workflow exceptions, and project attribute gaps.
++Configuration & Administrative Support
Assist the senior PMO Operations Analyst / Planview Administrator in implementing enhancements, updates, and workflow modifications within Planview Portfolios.
Support the customization and maintenance of Planview dashboards, reports, and data elements by preparing validated datasets and performing structured quality checks.
Maintain AgilePlace boards (Kanban) by performing cleanup, backlog grooming support, and workflow alignment checks.
++Integration & System Reliability Support
Monitor integration data flows (HRIS, financial feeds, resource files) and perform first‑level triage to identify whether issues stem from upstream errors or Planview data integrity.
Document integration defects and provide clean, structured data validations to the senior administrator or IT support teams.
Assist in testing system patches and releases to ensure new enhancements do not introduce data quality issues.
++Support for PMO Operations Analyst / Planview Administrator
Based on the senior role’s responsibilities in your file, the contractor will:
Help execute standardized PMO processes, tools, and templates that drive consistency and high‑quality data entry.
Assist in operational enhancements to Planview and AgilePlace that support project planning, performance reporting, and financial management.
Provide validated data inputs for PMO metrics, health dashboards, and Power BI reports.
Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on cleaning, optimizing, and streamlining PMO tool usage.
Deliver foundational user support while escalating advanced functional or administrative issues to the senior Planview Administrator.
Required Skills & Experience:
*1+ years of Planview Portfolios experience emphasizing data administration, governance, or cleanup.
*Strong analytical ability and passion for data correctness, structure, and completeness.
*Experience assisting project managers, resource managers, or PMO staff with tool usage and data-entry requirements.
*Ability to follow detailed governance rules and document findings clearly.
*Comfortable performing repetitive data validation tasks with high accuracy.
*Strong communication skills and customer-service orientation.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with AgilePlace (Kanban), Agile methodologies, or PMO operational processes.
Experience preparing data for Power BI or Tableau dashboards.
Experience in aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated engineering environments.
Exposure to enterprise PMO governance frameworks.
